Make up your own fabric Christmas Calendar with this festive style advent panel.
Stitch up the little pockets and fill them up with yummy chocolates or little presents. Hang it up on the first day of December and count the days to Christmas.

Environmentally friendly - Unlike the paper advent calendars that get thrown away every year these can be used for years and filled with anything you desire, making them more unique and personal. It's also made of 100% cotton which is biodegradable.
What do I need?
| Thread | 100 Metre thread in cotton or polyester. Or if you're a pro-sewer why not try a gold or silver metallic thread to sew on the pockets? It's a little bit more fiddly and you will need a top stitch needle for your sewing machine but it is totally worth it with the way the light catches it. | |
| Scissors | To cut your panel and fabric. | |
| Fabric Marker | To help mark out your fabric: backing, wadding, fleece | |
| Wadding | Used between the panel and the backing to give it some body to the garment. (See above) | |
| Backing Fabric | 60cm of normal medium-weight fabric such as Craft Cotton fabric. Plain: Moda - Colourful Patterned Fabric | |
| Fleece | Instead of using wadding and a backing fabric you can use a lovely fleece. If you are just a beginner this is a easy alternative to using wadding and a backing fabric. (See above) | |
| How to hang it options | 1. Cotton Tape/ Ribbon You can use some ribbon or cotton tape to create loops to easily hang your panel. Length will depend on how many loops you want and how big you want them. 2. Leave a hole on the right and left (width sides) of the panel at the top so you can insert a piece of wood dowling. You can then attach some cord/string/ ribbon to hang up your Advent Calander. 3. Cut a long rectangle out of the spare backing fabric. It will need to be shorter than the panel but wide enough to insert some wood dowling through it. Apply it to the top of the backing fabric before sewing the panel and everything else together. Only sew down the two long sides of the fabric. After inserting the wooden dowling you can then attach some cord/string/ ribbon to hang up your Advent Calander. Please note that these hanging options will not be included in the instructions as it is an additional extra you can apply. | |
| Optional: Decorations | To give it that extra personal touch add some glitter glue, sequins/beads, buttons or trims to it. You can even add a personalised ribbon to it !!! | |
| Optional: Bias Binding | You do not have to do this but you can finish the panel with some bias binding to give it a nice border to frame it in. |

- Please bring a digital or printed copy of your order confirmation when collecting your order.
- We may ask for additional ID when you collect your order for security and verification purposes.
- Please note: Items that are cut to order from a bolt or reel, including fabrics, ribbons, trims, elastic, webbing, cord, and similar products, are non-refundable and cannot be returned once your order has been completed, unless the goods are faulty or have been supplied in error.
